January 1, Bin Laden cautioned in letter from 2010 that Biden would ‘lead US into crisis’
A resurfaced letter from Osama bin Laden reveals that he once warned al-Qaeda to refrain from targeting Joe Biden because if Biden were to inherit Barack Obama’s presidency, he would “lead the US into a crisis.”
According to the letter, bin Laden did not have any plans to assassinate then-Vice President Biden because he found him “totally unprepared” to lead the US. He told his followers to instead focus on then-President Barack Obama.
“The reason for concentrating on them is that Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make Biden take over the presidency for the remainder of the term, as it is the norm over there. Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the US into a crisis,” bin Laden wrote.
The letter was obtained from bin Laden’s hideout after he was neutralized by the US military on May 2, 2011.
