Markets Fall, Recession Fears Growing

“Hold on to your butts.” Remember when Samuel L. Jackson’s character said that in 1993’s Jurassic Park? A lot of financial advisors are giving that same advice to their clients now after a steep drop on Wall Street Wednesday.  Everyone is talking about “fears” of the next recession.  Some are wondering if it’s already started.  You can read more about today’s economic uncertainty below.

90% Favor Criminal Background Checks For Guns

(Fox News) – Ninety percent of registered voters are in favor of requiring criminal background checks on all gun buyers, while 81% say they would favor allowing police to temporarily take guns away from people who have been shown to be a danger to themselves or others, according to a Fox News poll.

6 Philadelphia Police Officers Shot; Suspect Surrenders After Standoff

(WPVI) – “The shooter fired multiple rounds. Officers returned fire – many of whom had to escape through windows and doors to get away from a barrage of bullets,” said Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross.

Epstein’s Caribbean Islands Drawing Tourists After His Death 

(AP) – “No one used to pay attention to it,” Jon Stewart, the owner of a charter boat company, told the Associated Press. Now, “there’s a ton more tourists.”
