DeSantis Blasts ‘Lockdown Politicians’ For Vacationing in Florida [Video]

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis joked about politicians from states with strict COVID-19 measures who’ve vacationed in the Sunshine State since the start of the pandemic.

The question came during a press conference on Monday after a maskless Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was spotted in Miami at a crowded drag bar over the weekend.

“If I had a dollar for every lockdown politician who decided to escape to Florida over the last two years, I’d be a pretty doggone wealthy man, let me tell you,” DeSantis said. “I mean, congresspeople, mayors, governors, I mean you name it.”

“It’s interesting the reception that some of these folks will get in Florida,” the governor continued, “because I think a lot of Floridians say, ‘Wait a minute, you’re bashing us because we’re not doing your draconian policies, and yet we’re the first place you want to flee to, to be able to enjoy life.'”

“There are probably about a half dozen governors who had restrictions on their people and then were spotted at various points in Florida. Some of it’s been public, some of it’s not been public, but you know people tell me these things,” DeSantis added.

Still, the governor said he’s glad Florida can offer vacationers a semblance of normalcy in difficult times.

“I’m happy though that Florida’s a place where people know they can come and they can live like normal people, they can make their own decisions,” DeSantis said.

AOC explains why she cried on House floor

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) wrote an open letter explaining why she wept during a House vote on a stand-alone provision to fund Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system this week.

At the last minute, Ocasio-Cortez changed her vote from ‘no’ to ‘present’ and cried on the House floor.

“Yes, I wept,” she wrote. “I wept at the complete lack of care for the human beings that are impacted by these decisions, I wept at an institution choosing a path of maximum volatility and minimum consideration for its own political convenience.”

However, some questioned the sincerity of Ocasio-Cortez’s emotion.

“Theatre and bad theatre at that,” Meghan McCain tweeted.

“Why is AOC crying because fewer rockets will fall on Israeli citizens and cities? The Iron Dome doesn’t have offensive capabilities. It’s a defensive weapon used to stop rockets launched by terrorists from killing innocent people. Why does that make her sad? Will anyone ask?” tweeted David Hookstead, editor of the Daily Caller.

AOC lays into Manchin after he refers to her as ‘young lady’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took exception to Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.VA) after he referred to her as “young lady” while addressing criticism from the congresswoman.

“In Washington, I usually know my questions of power are getting somewhere when the powerful stop referring to me as ‘Congresswoman’ and start referring to me as ‘young lady’ instead,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

“Imagine if every time someone referred to someone as ‘young lady’ they were ask responded to by being addressed with their age and gender?” she continued. “They’d be pretty upset if one responded with ‘the old man,’ right? Why this kind of weird, patronizing behavior is so accepted is beyond me!”

Manchin remarked about Ocasio-Cortez during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” denying her recent accusations that he meets “weekly” with Exxon Mobil personnel.

“I don’t know that young lady that well. I really don’t. I have met her one time, I think, between sets here. But that’s it. So we have not had any conversations. She’s just speculating and saying things because she wants to,” Manchin said.

Gov. DeSantis under fire over ‘favored’ vaccine rollout scheme

Hello, America!

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is facing backlash after reports showed that his inoculation partnership with Publix grocery stores was a payback move. Apparently, the company donated over $100,00 to the governor’s PAC. Seems like a wrong move.

The relationship between US companies and Republican politicians is increasingly getting bitter as the former pushes against legislative measures that would restrict voting. Former President Donald Trump even called for the boycotting of these ‘woke companies.’ Interesting turn of events!

According to one research, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was among the worst-performing lawmaker in the House of Representatives. She was actually ranked at 230 out of 2040 House Democrats. Prove them wrong, AOC.

About seven percent of Americans who are non-existent online came from the elderly group. They really opt to live in physical, rather than virtual reality. Well, we cannot blame them.

In a bid to expose ethical concerns, scientists developed online games to test the capability of AI technology. While stakeholders pushed the benefits mankind could get, critics were wary that it could pose a threat and be “racially biased.”

‘Friends’ TV series will soon reunite! ‘Friends’ fan will also reunite! Shooting will start next week according to star David Schwimmer. No thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic which caused the delay.

Have a great week ahead,
