DeSantis says ‘Biden’s lawlessness’ is to blame for Jacksonville murder

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said the Biden administration’s “lawlessness” is to blame for the alleged murder of a Jacksonville man by an illegal migrant.

Authorities say Yery Noel Medina Ulloa pretended to be 17 to gain entry to the US. He is charged with murdering Francisco Javier Cuellar, 46, who took him in.

“Unfortunately there was a tragic situation — one of the illegals that Biden flew in committed a murder in Florida recently,” DeSantis told Sean Hannity of Fox News. “That individual who died would be alive had Biden not been doing this.”

“They don’t tell us when these flights are coming in — these are flights at 2 in the morning. We’re looking at ways to hold these contractors accountable who are basically the instruments of Biden’s lawlessness.”

“If it’s a federal responsibility, what happens when the federal government totally defaults on that responsibility? Are they saying the states have no ability to protect themselves?”

Ulloa pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. He is due back in court on Nov. 20.

Border Patrol apprehends two convicted sex offenders in less than two hours

Earlier this week, Border Patrol agents near Rio Grande, Texas, apprehended two migrant sex offenders in less than two hours.

Agents encountered a previously deported Guatemalan national attempting to cross the border with a larger group of migrants, the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said in a statement.

When the agents checked the man’s records, they found he was a registered sex offender, arrested in 2019 for lewd or lascivious acts with a minor under the age of 14. Earlier this year, he was convicted and sentenced to 180 days in jail and five years of probation. He currently has an active warrant in California.

In Brownsville about an hour later, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers requested help from agents after a suspect fled during a traffic stop. Border Patrol apprehended the suspect and took him into custody. They discovered that the Mexican national was convicted for sexually assaulting a 21-year-old in 2011, and he received a six-year sentence and was deported earlier this year.

Dem lawmaker says Biden’s listening to political activists instead of border communities

Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) said that President Joe Biden is only listening to “immigration activists” on the issue and ignoring the perspective of border communities.

Cuellar voiced his frustration on The Brian Kilmeade Show.

“The bottom line is I supported Joe Biden for president,” Cuellar said. “He was the most centrist candidate running, but the problem, in my opinion, is that he has surrounded himself, at least on the immigration issue, with people that have backgrounds in — I would call them immigration activists — and they’re giving their perspective, and the problem is that’s only one perspective. What about the perspective of the border communities?”

“And most importantly,” Cuellar continued. “They’re not listening to the men and women in green and blue. Somebody has to have their back and when you have the political people that are giving advice to the administration, that is only one-sided.”

Massive migrant caravan headed for US border: ‘Tell Biden we are coming’

A substantial migrant caravan headed from southern Mexico to the US border had a message for President Joe Biden: “Tell Biden we are coming.”

The group organized using a QR code to sign up to participate in the caravan. Members mainly consist of Central Americans, South Americans, and Haitians.

“Tell Biden we are coming,” William, a migrant from El Salvador, reportedly told Fox News.

Footage showed thousands of migrants walking together, with one holding a large wooden cross and others carrying American flags and signs bearing Biden’s name.

“President Biden, we need your help,” one migrant said.

The Mexican government banned trucks from providing rides to such caravans, so they must complete the 2,500-mile journey to the Texas border on foot.

Over 3,000 migrants make up the caravan, officials said.

Report: border agents engaged in ‘shocking abuses’ against asylum seekers

Human Rights Watch invoked the Freedom of Information act to obtain a trove of documents from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) — uncovering shocking instances of sexual and physical abuse of asylum seekers at the hands of border officials.

After a six-year legal battle, the human rights group uncovered over 160 cases of misconduct and abuse by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the US Border Patrol.

The documents span from 2016 to 2021 and detail instances including child sexual assault, enforced hunger, and brutal conditions.

Human Rights Watch said the files “paint a picture of DHS as an agency that appears to have normalized shocking abuses at the US border. The US should take urgent and sustained action to stop such abuses.”

Critics go after Biden over saying he hasn’t had time to visit the border

President Joe Biden became the subject of criticism for claiming he hasn’t “had a whole hell of a lot of time” to visit the US-Mexico border.

During a CNN town hall appearance, an attendee asked Biden why he hadn’t visited the border amid the ongoing migrant crisis.

“I’ve been there before, I know it well, I guess I should go down,” Biden said. “The whole point of it is, I haven’t had a whole hell of a lot of time to get down.”

Critics took exception and claimed he’d never visited the border during his tenure as a politician.

Activists gather outside Mayorkas’ house, protest Biden’s ‘racist’ immigration policies

A group of activists gathered outside the home of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to protest the Biden administration’s “racist” immigration policies.

Members from Never Again Action, a left-wing political group, draped Mayorkas’s house in a banner that read “BIDEN PRESIDENCY, TRUMP POLICY.”

“The Biden administration promised to end Trump’s cruel immigration policies and replace them with a ‘fair and humane’ immigration system,” said Alyssa Rubin, campaigns director for Never Again Action. “Instead they’ve doubled down on the worst of Trump’s racist policies.”

The protest comes amid stark criticism of the Biden administration’s handling of the thousands of Haitian migrants at the Mexico-US border in Del Rio, Texas.

“Secretary Mayorkas, himself a refugee and the child of Holocaust survivors, has now joined the long list of US officials enforcing racist policies that turn away desperate refugees and migrants, sending many of them back to their deaths,” Rubin said. “We are here today in honor of our ancestors who died because they were turned away from the US by policies just like these.”

All migrants are gone from Texas border camp, officials say

Federal officials confirmed that no migrants remained at the Texas border camp in Del Rio, which was recently the subject of national and international attention.

The announcement marked a drastic change from last Saturday when over 15,000 migrants gathered at the Texas-Mexico border, driven by confusion over the Biden administration’s policies and misinformation on social media.

On Friday, President Joe Biden commented on the widespread outrage from images of border agents using their horses to block and move migrants forcibly, saying “people will pay.”

“There will be consequences,” Biden said. “It’s an embarrassment, but it’s beyond an embarrassment — it’s dangerous, it’s wrong, it sends the wrong message around the world and sends the wrong message at home. It’s simply not who we are.”

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the US allowed about 12,400 to enter the country, at least temporarily, while they appear before an immigration judge to remain under asylum laws. Though, they could ultimately be denied and subject to removal.

In lieu of a border wall, Texas governor implements “steel barrier”

Amid the migrant crisis in Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott said law enforcement officials implemented a “steel barrier” of vehicles to block migrants from crossing the border.

“They have created a steel barrier preventing people from being able to cross the border,” Abbott said at a press conference Tuesday.

“One day there were countless people coming across the border, then the very same day the Texas Department of Public Safety put up all these DPS vehicles, and suddenly, in an instant, people stopped crossing the border in this location. That strategy is working.”

Abbott said the vehicular barrier is “miles” long. The Lone Star state’s governor said the Biden administration is “promoting and allowing open border policies.”

“The only thing they’ve shown is an incapability of dealing with this crisis, candidly in a way where they pretend it doesn’t even exist,” the Republican governor said at a press conference. “And we’re here to tell you, it exists and it’s total chaos and the Biden administration — they need to up their game, big time.”

HHS documents reveal incidents of abuse of unaccompanied migrant children

Newly released documents from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) reveal physical and sexual abuse incidents of unaccompanied migrant children intercepted at the US-Mexico border.

The watchdog group Judicial Watch obtained and shared 41 pages of documents with Fox News, which show 33 instances of “sexual abuse” against unaccompanied minors linked to voluntary agencies working with the federal government under contract. The incidents all occurred between Jan. 21 and Feb. 25 of 2021.

“These documents show that not only are there shocking reports of sexual abuse occurring in shelters for unaccompanied children, but that there is violence among the UACs themselves,” said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch. “It is no surprise that Biden administration’s enabling of human trafficking has resulted in violence and the abuse of children.”

An Axios report published earlier this month showed that the Biden administration lost contact with thousands of unaccompanied migrant children.
